Born: March 28, 1899
Kerry, IrelandGrowing up in Ireland, he naturally spoke Irish, learning just a small amount of English here and there. He was born into a large family that only continued to grow. With 8 siblings in total, he found himself ungoverned in childhood; his village was his oyster.Already a strange child, an accident and lack of medical care left him with a gnarly strep infection in the tail that rendered him both physically and neurologically disabled.He fled Ireland via ferry boat at 12 years old to relieve his family of the burden he thought he put upon them. Landing in New York, he found himself relying on the olive branches of fellow Irish immigrants to keep him on his feet. However, his inability to allow himself to connect with others lead him to train station after train station, eventually landing in St. Louis, Missouri, where by some lucky star, he was comfortable enough to stay.
